Video: CAIR Georgia Talks “Legacy of Malcolm X” at GSU Event Hosted By Muslim Law Students Assoc.

Malcolm X(ATLANTA, GA – 2/20/17) The Georgia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations delivered keynote remarks at the “Legacy of Malcolm X,” an event at Georgia State University hosted by GSU Law’s Muslim and Black Law Students Associations.

During the event, CAIR-GA executive director Edward Ahmed Mitchell discussed the signficance of Malcolm X to the Muslim, African-American and activist communities.

Afterward, the audience watched footage of a 1964 interview of Malcolm X conducted after his conversion to Sunni Islam, pilgrimage to Mecca, and rejection of racism, followed by a panel discussion featuring civil rights attorney Azadeh Shashahani, activist Asma Elhuni and other speakers.
