Azka Mahmood is an advocate for human and civil rights. She has a background in research, policy analysis, and social inequalities. Azka Mahmood is committed to American Muslims’ full and meaningful participation in society and their engagement in the political spheres.
Previously, Azka served as the Deputy Director and the Communication and Outreach Director at CAIR-Georgia. She has also worked as an ISPU researcher and educator to support activities that create awareness about the American Muslim community and created resources to combat Islamophobia.
Azka enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling with her husband and children in her free time. Her favorite cities to visit are Islamabad and Istanbul.
