CAIR-Georgia Condemns Antisemitic Pamphlets Found Across Georgia

(ATLANTA, GA, 2/6/2023): The Georgia chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR-Georgia) today condemned antisemitic pamphlets found in the driveways of many homes in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody in the metro Atlanta area.

The pamphlets match the hundreds of antisemitic flyers that were found in Cobb County in November. The language on the flyers resembles the recent slew of antisemitic messages seen in Jacksonville, Florida and a banner hanging over the freeway in Los Angeles.

“CAIR-Georgia was disgusted to hear the news of the horrible pamphlets strewn on driveways in Sandy Springs and at least three other neighborhoods across metro-Atlanta Sunday morning. We stand with our brothers and sisters in the entire Jewish community against any and all forms of antisemitism” said Murtaza Khwaja, Executive Director of CAIR-Georgia.

Azka Mahmood, Deputy Director of CAIR-Georgia, said,

“These types of hate rhetoric and tactics are completely unacceptable. Those responsible for the hate pamphlets are a fringe minority and do not represent the majority of Georgians who are welcoming and appreciative of the diversity of all faith traditions. We know that these acts make us all feel unsafe, and that Georgians will join together in calling out this antisemitic bigotry.”

CAIR-Georgia’s mission is to protect civil rights, promote justice, empower American Muslims, and enhance the understanding of Islam.
