12/5/16 – ROSWELL, GA) The Georgia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations today thanked activist Linda Sarsour for organizing, inspiring and encouraging Georgia Muslims during a weekend visit to Atlanta.
Sarsour, the executive director of the Arab-American Association of New York, has been commended as a “champion of change” by the Obama administration.
During her visit, she spoke to students at ILM Academy, an interfaith gathering of activists at Amana Academy, and at a fundraiser for Roswell Community Masjid.
