Invite to Sponsor CAIR Georgia’s 2018 Fundraising Gala: “Living Our Faith, Defending Your Freedom”

2018 Banquet 2.jpg(ATLANTA, GA, 1/24/18) – On Saturday, February 24th, the Georgia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-GA) plans to host its second annual fundraising gala, “Living Our Faith, Defending Your Freedom,” at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia.

Our special guests will, God willing, include national activist Linda Sarsour, attorney Hassan Shibly, and attorney Roula Allouch, the first woman to chair CAIR National’s board of directors.

During the banquet, we hope to celebrate the successes that CAIR Georgia experienced—by the grace of God—in 2017, including our efforts to:

  • Serve Georgia Muslims by delivering free educational presentations, including Know Your Rights seminars, Islamic Last Will workshops, Self-Defense seminars, and college lectures.
  • Protect Georgia Muslims by investigating anti-Muslim bigotry, building coalitions with other civil rights groups, and countering Islamophobia in both the court of law and public opinion.
  • Advocate for Georgia Muslims by interviewing all of Atlanta’s top mayoral candidates, lobbying on Capitol Hill, delivering Islam 101 seminars, and interacting with local and national media.
  • Unite Georgia Muslims by hosting a march in response to the ethnic cleansing of Rohyingya Muslims, a food drive in response to an anti-Sharia hate rally at Piedmont Park, and multiple protests in response to restrictions on religious freedom in Jerusalem.

We are also happy to report that we established our first full-time office in the heart of Atlanta, and expanded our staff, adding a second attorney, a paralegal, and a communications director.

If you, your organization, your business or your house of worship would like to help us sustain and advance our civil rights and advocacy work, please consider supporting our banquet. You can buy a ticket, reserve a table, or sponsor the event here. See below for details about sponsorship levels.
