CAIR Georgia joined a May 10th training session for social justice groups led by Rev. Dr. William Barber at The Temple, Atlanta’s most prominent synagogue.
The Moral Political Organizing Leadership Institute (MPOLIS) hosted the event, which brought together leaders from various Georgia communities, including advocates of immigration reform, a higher minimum wage, expanded government healthcare and tolerance for minority communities.
The day-long training ended with a Muslim woman reciting Surah Al-Fatiha, the first chapter of the Quran, at the request of Dr. Barber.
