CAIR-Georgia Welcomes Judge Stacey Hydrick’s Stepping Down from Judicial Watchdog After Backlash Over Biased Comments on Palestinians

(ATLANTA, GA, 2/27/25) – The Georgia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Georgia) today welcomed DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Stacey Hydrick stepping down from the Investigative Panel of the Judicial Qualifications Commission.

Judge Hydrick’s decision to step down from the watchdog panel comes days after CAIR-Georgia condemned her recently-deleted social media post asserting that “there are no innocent civilians in Gaza” and that all “Gazans were celebrating and gloating over their brutal murder of Jews.” Judge Hydrick’s social media post and comments received widespread backlash and the filing of several complaints.
